Raleigh, North Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a national supplier of manufactured products. Due to their most recent growth, they have opened a position for an IT Director – HR Systems.
What you will do: The IT Director – HR Systems maintains a detailed understanding of all ABAP/4 programming areas of SAP, including dialog and object oriented programming, interface design (BAPI, BDC, Call Transaction, Direct Input), Function Module developments, Screen/Menu Painter, ALV, XI (PI), SAPScript/SmartForm design, Adobe forms, RFCs, Data Dictionary design, expertise in ABAP debug and SQL tracing tools, development and use of user exits, IDOC administration and R/3 application ALE/IDOC integration. The role translates user requirements, specification documents and system objectives into logical, economical and practical technical designs, designs complex ABAP programs to meet the requirements for forms, reports, interfaces, conversions and enhancements, and provides consultation to configurators, end users and management on designs of custom solutions. The position provides technical advice on the behavior of standard SAP functionality through debugging, research and prototyping, conducts complex troubleshooting and diagnosis on production break/fix and system performance issues, and involves configurators, end users and the Basis team as necessary. Additionally, the IT Director – HR Systems support and maintains mission-critical ABAP programs developed by internal staff and project consultants, optimizes runtime and database expense for all objects, and supports/performs data migration activities as needed to support implementations and other data update requirements.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Hands-on development experience with SAP R/3 with at least two full lifecycle implementations. Detailed understanding of all ABAP/4 programming areas of SAP, including dialog programming, interface design (BAPI, BDC, Call Transaction, Direct Input), Function Module developments, Screen/Menu Painter, ALV, SAPScript/SmartForm design, Data Dictionary design, expertise in ABAP debug and SQL tracing tools, development and use of user exits, IDOC administration and knowledge of R/3 application ALE/IDOC integration. Extensive knowledge of RDBMS database interface, SQL and operating system functions between SAP and RDBMS engines/optimizers preferred. Experience developing in all key modules of SAP such as SD, PP, MM, WM, FICO, PLM, PS as well as ASAP methodology, SCAT, LSMW SmartForm, Adobe forms, and SAP Script. Experience with Solution Manger (Solman) 7.1/SP12 or above. Knowledge of Solman 7.2. Familiar with Implementation/Upgrade, Test Management, Customer Code management (CCLM) work centers. Experience using Scope and Effort Analyzer, BPCA, SAP Test Automation Tool (CBTA), ChaRM). Experience with System Upgrades, Support Packs and Enhancement Pack Upgrades. Basic understanding of security roles and authorizations. Ability to travel 20%-30% (including international travel).
