Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a growing automotive tier one. Due to recent growth within the company, they have recently opened a position for an Application Assistant Manager.
What you will do: The Application Assistant Manager communicates with parent company as well as 3rd party vendors to develop, improve and troubleshoot proprietary systems. The role maintains Oracle server and SQL server, works closely with related department and manufacturing plants to ensure applications are meeting their expectations, and participates in Kaizen/Improvement activities as well as cost reduction activities. The position promotes teamwork and cooperation with interacting departments including Japan, reports progress to management, and is responsible for the daily operation of the help desk, checking server/application health, and other IT tasks.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Current experience in applicaiton development. Experience in project coordination. Experience working with relational database systems such as MSSQL or Oracle and a good working knowledge of SQL. VBA programming experience. Ability to travel up to 30%. Fluency in Japanese. Expertise in Batch scripting or PowerShell. Understanding of Virtualization (VMWare), Windows server 2008/2008R2 and Windows server 2012/2012R2.
