Interiors Program Engineer

Orland Park, Illinois – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a large supplier in the automotive tier-one space. Due to their growth, they have several newly created positions for a Program Engineer.

What you will do: The Program Engineer develops/assists on the program from RFD to SOP in the development of lowest cost, highest quality processes, supports the Request for Quote activities for Corporate Engineering by developing process, cell layout, crew size and rates, partnering with the plants and supported by Process, Tooling and Equipment Engineering, and updates the RFQ system as needed. The role supports the product and process trials confirmation, develops “Design for Manufacturing” documents for awarded programs, and creates preliminary program timing, cell layouts, and updates as needed for potential and awarded programs. Additionally, the Program Engineer supports Corporate Engineering development and best practice documents, provides technical support on prototype and pre-production builds, and coordinates/hosts open issue meetings with internal departments on high impact programs.

What you will need: Bachelor degree in Engineering. Current experience in automotive manufacturing; Japanese automotive customer experience is a plus. Proficiency and experience in problem solving and managing multiple projects. Proficiency with CAD software. Ability to travel up to 25%.
