Integration Engineer I

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a leading supplier of electronic components to a myriad of industries. We have been tasked to identify a Manufacturing Integration Engineer for a newly created role.

What you will do: The Manufacturing Integration Engineer is responsible for the overall manufacturing strategy, providing coordination and oversight of technical disciplines on the process development teams, and coordination to the plant manufacturing site receiving the process. The role manages technical development aspects of automotive manufacturing projects, provides coordination support to planning, procuring and development services, and coordinates the technical efforts of the tooling groups and plant engineers. The position coordinates with program management regarding the division of responsibilities, proposes the basic manufacturing process, physical location production rates, labor needs, packaging methods and other pertinent manufacturing information, and heads the “Manufacturing Process Development Team.” Additionally, the Manufacturing Integration Engineer develops monthly tooling report for the business unit, creates process flow diagrams, and coordinates with plant engineering or facilities management to create a layout plan for the manufacturing process, while also defining input to control plans and qualification plans.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Experience of combined design and project level management of assembly equipment. Experience in cost estimation and quoting. Experience with all types of automation including dedicated high speed mechanical synchronous and asynchronous flexible (robotics). Knowledge of connector manufacturing processes: molding, stamping and assembly. Experience in high speed piece part marking using inkjet printing, laser and other methods. PLC/PC control experience (Allen Bradley preferred).
