Morehead, Kentucky – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with one of the world’s leading manufacturers in automotive, commercial truck and consumer goods industries. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Department Manager – Injection Molding.
What you will do: The Department Manager provides manufacturing leadership direction to safety, production, and quality issues for the shift, supervises Molding Superintendent, Production Supervisors, Process Engineers, and Team Leads in continuous improvement efforts and performance objectives utilizing the MBM Guiding Principles, and provides appropriate performance feedback to maximize employee performance. The role follows scheduling and production directives to support plant manufacturing operations, coordinates production activities with production schedules to maximize production efficiencies and achieve customer orders on-time, and motivates/trains employees toward higher efficiency and skill levels. The position controls direct and indirect labor input, maximizes efficient plant inventory, keeps plant manufacturing operatives informed, and works directly with Plating Line Personnel, Assembly areas, Molding, Maintenance, Quality Assurance and Leadership Team members to problem solve and correct production-related issues.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Experience in injection molding. Current experience in manufacturing management. Knowledge of and the ability to manage departmental budget costs.
