Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international, industry-leading tier-one automotive supplier to highlight candidates to fill their newly opened Indirect Purchasing Agent role.
What you will do: The Indirect Purchasing Agent supports purchasing in assigned commodities. The role evaluates supplier quotations to obtain the best overall purchase on behalf of the company, establishes supplier Long Term Agreements and supplier giveback terms, and reviews subcontracted services, renting, and leasing. The position establishes supplier credit terms and the completion of credit applications, quarterly reviews MRO, and services with powertrain divisions, and maintains controls for quantity, price and delivery of all incoming purchased items. The role maintains controls to receive replacement items and/or credit on all returns to suppliers, develops/delivers cost savings in indirect materials/services commodity business plans, and negotiates/maintains travel contracts. Additionally, the Indirect Purchasing Agent places purchase orders, prepares/files procurement and material statistics and reports upon request, and is accountable for supporting purchasing department goals and individual supplier PPV performance.
What you will need: Associate’s Degree. Current experience in purchasing within the manufacturing industry. Basic knowledge of MRO. Experience working in SAP.
