Hydraulic Brake Engineer

Greenville, South Carolina  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com    is working with a national supplier of heavy industry equipment. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Hydraulic Brake Engineer.

What you will do: The Hydraulic Brake Engineer is responsible for design, development, analysis, application, and testing of existing products, along with development of new creative designs and other technical activities. The role plans, schedules, and coordinates assigned engineering work, monitors work for compliance to applicable codes, and ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project participants. The position is responsible for product mechanical design activities, including FEA, mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials, creates 2D and 3D device drawings and models, and trains/supports clients and field representatives. Additionally, the Hydraulic Brake Engineer investigates equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and improve designs, maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviews professional publications, and conducts/participates in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, documentation, and other artifacts.

What you will need: BSME. Experience in the design of mechanical systems. Experience with transit braking systems and hydraulics. Strong CAD skills with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling tools. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
