Human Resources Manager

Nashville, Tennessee – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com   is working with a tier-one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to the company’s recent growth, they have opened a position for a Human Resources Manager.

What you will do: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating plant human resources activities, as well as leading the plant human resources staff. The role analyzes/modifies compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements, advises managers and corporate on organizational policy matters, and performs difficult staffing duties, including resolution of staffing issues, investigation of disputes, employee termination, and administering disciplinary procedures. The position plans/conducts new employee orientation for both hourly and salary employees, identifies staff vacancies within the plant, recruits, interviews and selects applicants, and supervises/coordinates work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations. Additionally, the Human Resources Manager plans, organizes, directs, controls or coordinates the personnel, training, or labor relations activities of an organization, represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations, and administers compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources. PHR and SPHR preferred. Current experience in human resources within a tier-one auomotive manufacturing environment. Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Knowledge of Union laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations.
