Columbia, South Carolina  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com    is working with a national supplier of heavy industry equipment. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Human Resources Generalist.

What you will do: The Human Resources Generalist manages/administers human resources activities in areas of employee recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits, employee relations, administration of benefits, personnel policies and regulatory compliance. The position is responsible for delivering human resources needs to all company employees in the office and on the production floor, conducts/organizes new employee orientation, and performs recruitment activities, coordinating job postings on the web, reviewing resumes, performing telephone interviews and maintaining records. The role assists in organizational training and development efforts, ensures compliance with Federal, State and local employment regulations, fair employment practices, and delivers presentations to employees, while also administering the compensation program. Additionally, the Human Resources Generalist assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals, handles employee relations counseling, completes miscellaneous research, reports, and memos as requested, and conducts exit interviews and process terminations in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree with a preferred HR certification – PHR or SHRM CP/SCP. Current, mid-range experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations, and personnel information systems. Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations governing human resources activities.
