Fenton, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a national supplier of manufactured goods that feed into a multitude of industries. Due to the recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Human Resources Director.
What you will do: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Human Resources department including the health, safety and environmental function. The role leads the HR and safety team by creating and implementing HR management objectives and implementing policies, procedures, processes and programs, while also ensuring that the organizational HR objectives are successfully achieved primarily related to the results of the employee opinion survey, HR assessment and safety, environmental and ergonomic audits. The position keeps abreast of HR trends and governmental legislations, advises or assists the divisions’ department managers in interpretations and administrations of HR policies, procedures and contract bargaining language (CBU), and provides advice in the proper and legal handling of performance issues, hiring, promotion/demotions, terminations and resignations as well as disciplinary actions and probationary periods. Additionally, the Human Resources Manager ensures the thoroughness and timely completion of scheduled performance reviews for all employees, ensures all employees and visitors have a safe environment in that safety and housekeeping standards are maintained, and ensures prompt response to and investigates all reports of injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses and property damage immediately.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Current experience in human resources management within manufacturing. Experience managing 400+ employees with direct reports. Experience in a non-union environment. Experience managing multiple facilities.
