Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a world-class manufacturer of instruments for vehicles, agricultural, and construction equipment. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a HMI Model Engineer.
What you will do: The HMI Model Engineer designs, develops, tests, and documents HMI (Human-Machine Interface) models in automotive embedded instrument cluster micro controller systems. The role analyzes feature requirements and implementation with Software Design Engineers to implement customer requirements, creates HMI models using EB Guide, Altia, Matlab Stateflow or Rhapsody, and parses graphics using Adobe Illustrator. The position reads, analyzes, and interprets customer HMI specifications such as the form and behavior spec, graphics processor, etc and implement in HMI models, collaborates with the software engineers on design and implementation, and communicates with customer design office with any graphics or HMI specification. Additionally, the HMI Model Engineer works with customers on test models to verify HMI performance and implementations, releases production and beta software, and collaborates with the software engineer team to diagnose, root cause and implement corrective actions for vehicle, quality, or plant issues, while exploring new technologies for upcoming projects.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering. Experience developing advanced embedded software in an automotive environment. Skills with Altia, Matlab Stateflow or Rhapsody to develop HMI is strongly preferred. Ability to write, debug, and test embedded C/C++. Experience working with 32 bit microcontrollers.
