HIL Software Validation Engineer

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with an international supplier of raw materials and electronics to the manufacturing industry. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Software Validation Engineer.

What you will do: The Software Validation Engineer develops test cases and runs the tests during software/system development. The role works with software validation engineers in the development of test cases, compiles/delivers Matlab S-functions to development and customer, and works with battery management system designs to model BMS on HIL tester. The position designs/maintains Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems, develops battery plant models using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow, and manages/controls HIL/Plant models changes across all projects. Additionally, the Software Validation Engineer develops test automation within HIL environment, using test executors and automation engines, executes tests on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) System, reviews software design documents, and supports end customer and manufacturing issue resolution. 

What you will need: B.S in Electrical Engineering. Knowledge of HV Battery Pack and Hybrid/Electric Vehicle operation. Vehicle HEV Battery testing experience desired. Current experience in embedded software verification/validation using HIL. Strong diagnostic and test background. In-depth experience with automotive CAN communication using Vector Tools (CANoe, CANalyser, CANAPE, etc). Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++ /Assembly/Python.
