Rochester Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a manufacturer of assembly and test machinery for the automotive industry and due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Hardware Controls Engineer.
What you will do: The Hardware Controls Engineer is responsible for the design and integration of hardware controls hardware engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. The position executes hardware product design, feasibility studies, preparation of specifications and technical documentation and carries out engineering solutions and designs in compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements and project specifications, while also evaluating solutions in respect to feasibility and cost effectiveness. The role releases and tracks information and develops system hardware drawing sets. Additionally, the Hardware Controls Engineer prepares documentation to support a design compliance with all applicable codes and standards, prepares hardware documentation for customer approval, equipment build and ship to customer, and supports hardware engineering requirements for equipment build and debug.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in controls. Experience in hardware manufacturing. Experience working in a tier-one or OEM autmotive manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
