Global Purchasing Manager - Capital Equipment

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com/jobs     is working a tier one supplier of automotive systems and due to the company’s recent growth, they have opened a position for a Global Purchasing Manager – Capital Equipment.

What you will do: The Global Purchasing Manager – Capital Equipment manages regional CapEx and Tooling Buyers in the North American region. The role provides process leadership and guidance to managers and teams in all global regions, serves as a backup for the Director as required, and achieves cost performance tasks for business awarded to suppliers in the region. The position ensures the regional deployment and application of Global Purchasing and CapEx and Tooling specific policy, procedure and direction, while also regionally supporting Global CapEx and Tooling commodity strategies, and leadership of the deployment of those strategies in the region. Additionally, the Global Purchasing Manager – Capital Equipment works collaboratively with colleagues cross-functionally during quoting, sourcing and launching of suppliers, supports buyers to ensure that cost objectives are achieved, supports development of regional component of global commodity strategies for CapEx and Tooling, and develops regional strategies for CapEx and Tooling, staying harmonized with the global commodity strategies for CapEx and Tooling, and deploy those strategies.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree, but an MBA is preferred. Automotive purchasing experience. Experience in commercial discussions on a Global level and within multiple regions. Extensive experience managing suppliers in a Purchasing setting. Experience in purchasing and launching tooling and/or capital equipment.
