Round Rock, Texas – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a national manufacturer of electric motors and due to their recent growth, they have opened a position for Product Manager – Gearboxes.
What you will do: The Product Manager – Gearboxes assists Stock Product Group (BU) General Manager in daily operations, develops and grows the gear OEM and distribution business, and sets gear product and pricing strategy. The role assists factory with gearing product manuals to ensure suitability for domestic marketplace, provides feedback on all Gearing quality and design issues, and develops product presentations to train and support the internal and external sales team. The position provides gearing and component product training at factory or customer site, visits customer sites to discuss gear product needs and requirements for applications and industries, and attends trade shows to support gear sales effort, improve product visibility and obtain feedback on current gear product and market trends. Additionally, the Product Manager – Gearboxes travels to manufacturing facilities, corporate headquarters, subsidiaries or customer sites as required to perform job responsibilities, coordinates warranty claims with factory personnel, and coordinates gearing field service and start up assistance, while also directly supervises employees.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Experience with gears/gears components, power transmission or related. Experience as a product manager interfacing with multiple product sites.
