Fuel Systems Quality Manager

Anderson, South Carolina  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a global Tier One supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for a Quality Manager west of Anderson, just west of Anderson in Georgia.

What you will do: The Quality Manager has responsibility for directing and managing all functions of quality assurance and statistical process control, while also coordinating quality assurance functions with other departments to ensure reliable products. The role reviews customer and engineering requirements to establish quality specifications and standards for incoming materials, components and finished products, develops and recommends inspection, sampling techniques and quality control procedures, and prepares and maintains quality assurance manual. The position maintains continuous improvement effort by conducting research on product defects recommending improvement modifications for correction and studies cost improvement methods/projects making recommendations, institutes inspection and testing procedures for incoming and finished products periodically reviewing and re-evaluating current procedures, and reviews customer quality complaints, initiating corrective action to expedite resolution and satisfy our customers. Additionally, the Quality Manager acts as company liaison between customers and suppliers, administers direct supervisory responsibility for quality control and personnel including selection, hiring, training, performance evaluations, promotional recommendations and work schedules.

What you will need: Bachelors Degree in Engineering.  Current experience in a plant level quality engineering role with plastics/injection molding.  Experience in the Automotive industry. Understanding of a matrix environment.
