Sales Director-Fluid Power

Columbia, South Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a world leader in fluid distribution and handling.  Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an Eastern Sales Director.

What you will do:  The Eastern Sales Director will be both a hunter (new business development) and a farmer (managing an existing customer base).  The customer base will be focused on heavy industry, manufacturing and municipalities that utilize fluid handling equipment.  As an OEM, this company is able to  provide and service sales of  individual components up to complete systems.  The Eastern Sales Director is a plant level sales role…they need someone that has extensive experience selling capital equipment and projects to heavy industrial and municipalities targeting the Chemical, Water / Waste Water, Power Gen & Oil & Gas industries.  This role will also prepare, monitor and measure against yearly budget and monitor gross margin capture and assist in driving improvement throughout the year.  The Director will focus on value selling to increase the companies footprint within the target plant/municipality.   This is a home based position that will provide a company car, cell phone, laptop etc. This position will be responsible for the Eastern half of the United State and will have  direct reports.

What you will need:  Current experience selling capital equipment into heavy industry, manufacturing or municipalities. Advanced experience selling rotating equipment (pumps or compressors) or fluid power/fluid handling.  A completed 4-year degree in engineering is highly preferred.  The ability to travel regionally up to 75%, some overnights. Experience managing up to 5 sales reports. Experience managing a 5+ state territory.
