Selmer, Tennessee- Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a leading Tier-one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their recent growth, the company has a newly created position for a Plant Controller.
What you will do: The Plant Controller directs financial activities of the plant and manages dissemination of financial information about the company activities that will assist management. The role maintains the manufacturing database, adds new products as required, and establishes standards for raw materials and trade items, standards for purchased finished goods, production rates for all products, standard costs and routing for all products, and departmental labor and overhead rates. The position chairs biweekly cost reduction meetings, prepares projected monthly sales forecast and profit and loss reports, and produces journal entries needed for month end close, while also resolving financial transactions and reporting discrepancies. Additionally, the Plant Controller supervises subordinate positions in the Accounting Department such as a Cost Accountant, or Junior Accountant, while being responsible for interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
What you will need: Bachelor degree in accounting or finance. CPA or MBA is a plus. Advanced experience in a manufacturing environment. Current experience in controlling. Knowledge of accounting software, database software, manufacturing software, and payroll systems. Proficiency with the manufacturing ERP system (Oracle).
