Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a national manufacturer of turbomachinery. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Director of Finance.
What you will do: The Director of Finance is a key source of support to the business unit Vice President (VP) to create, develop, administer, and provide management information and financial controls for the business in a way that supports sustained growth in the company’s global regions along with other supporting businesses. The role designs a financial reporting system to permit consolidation and reporting of the company’s business unit while maintaining compliance with local reporting requirements, sustains metrics for measuring performance consistently across the global regions and businesses, and recommends corrective actions concerning performance against financial plan. The position directs the financial analysis and evaluation of business investments, including capital and acquisition candidates, implements accounting policies, practices and procedures, and directs the efforts of tax accounting, tax planning and treasury to minimize effective tax and treasury costs and mitigate risk. Additionally, the Director of Finance develops short-range and long-range financial forecasts and plans.
What you will need: Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance. A professionally qualified Accountant (CPA, Chartered Accountant, MBA) preferred. Advanced experience in an international commercial accounting role, some of which should be at a managerial level, in a manufacturing company that includes a service component in the business model. Knowledge of and in-depth experience with treasury functions. Experience with international ERP and CRM applications and with managing a multi-site IT operation. Experience working outside the US and demonstrated ability to help scope successful business solutions in varied fiscal and cultural environments. Knowledgeable with laws and customs of multiple global regions.
