Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a 10,000 employee tier one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Project Manager – Filtration.
What you will do: The Project Manager – Filtration coordinates the work packages of the involved domains and ensure timely decisions in core team and committees, creates/updates project plan and ensures execution of this plan in the involved domains. The position arranges regular work meetings (including quotation and project kick-off) to ensure communication and information exchange within the Core Team, ensures proper reporting and conducts project controlling by means of status reports (regarding function, quality, cost and timeline and a list of open issues), while also updating the project cost calculation. The role supports sales in obtaining procurement releases from the customer (prototypes, tools, investments) and in invoicing, confirms feasibility regarding function, process, quality and purchased components, and ensures engineering change management and documentation of all impacts of technical changes on the project (particularly financial impacts). Additionally, the Project Manager – Filtration ensures full complete tracking for any upfront customer payments (e.g. tooling, prototypes), ensures transfer of product responsibility to the plant incl. conversion plan, and conducts gap analysis and define mitigation actions.
What you will need: B.A. or B.S in Engineering or Engineering Technology. PMP certification a plus. Experience in program management in the automotive industry. Knowledge of filtration systems.
