Rochester Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearrch.com/jobs is working with a 10,000 employee tier one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Field Service Technician.
What you will do: The Field Service Technician instructs and supports technicians for machine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. The role supports customers by phone, email contact and on-site visits, trains new technical employees, and installs, programs, integrates and repairs laser scoring, welding, and cutting machines. The position conducts customer training seminars, in lab and on-site, works with customers and suppliers to outline machine upgrades, and applies cost reduction methods.
What you will need: BS degree in Engineering (electrical or mechanical). Current experience in field service. Knowledge in PLC programming (Siemens S7). Knowledge in Robot programming (ABB). Knowledge about laser systems and laser material processing. Knowledge of North American market norms and regulations for machine building.
