Fairfield, California – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a national manufacturer of turbines. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Field Service Engineer.
What you will do: The Field Service Manager is responsible for the commercial and technical execution of projects involving construction, installation, commissioning and maintenance of rotating equipment and their associated facilities in the oil, gas and energy industries. This role works with the site team and the expectations of the project stakeholders, implements processes and controls to ensure the projects meet objectives and satisfy the client’s expectations, while also coordinating field service activities and labor requirements with local unions in respective geographic regions. The position conducts site surveys as required for technical and commercial proposal, prepares and issues technical proposals including work scope, project plan and manpower plan for field service projects, and collects cost data of projects man-hours, materials and equipments. necessary for project implementation so that sales team can make commercial proposals. Additionally, the Field Service Engineer supports sales and sales representatives in presenting proposal to customers, takes an active role in conducting necessary meetings with customers while projects are being implemented, and prepares necessary risk assessments and rigging studies for the projects, while also makes courtesy calls to check inventories, promote parts sales, inspect new shipments and sell service in conjunction with service sales engineer.
What you will need: Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience as a Service Engineer in the turbomachinery industry, including Outage project experience, and leadership/supervisory experience. Ability to travel 50% to 75%.
