Field Project Manager - EPC

Jacksonville, Florida  – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a national company that provides energy technologies and services to electric utilities and their large industrial, commercial, institutional and municipal customers. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Field Project Manager in the North Carolina to Florida corridor.

What you will do: The Field Project Manager participates in kickoff meeting with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, and Operations Teams. while also managing the project schedules and project budgets. The role ensures accuracy of drawings to minimize changes in the field, works with the Manager of Permitting Compliance to obtain and submit necessary permitting applications, and works with the Construction Team to schedule construction crews. The position solicits/negotiates contractor quotes for all/pieces of project scope, maintains/adjusts project schedule throughout the lifespan of a project, and coordinates all phases of construction. Additionally, the Field Project Manager maintains/enforces a safe and clean working environment, closes out permits within an appropriate timeframe, and tracks all project costs and record appropriately.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management. Current experience as a project management within construction or infrastructure. Basic knowledge of power systems, distribution, utility infrastructure, generators, switchgear, transformers, electrical/construction practices, project management practices, and low voltage/medium voltage design. Ability to travel up to 80%.
