Chicago, Illinois – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a world leader in electrical drives. Due to their growth they have a newly created position for a Regional Field Service Engineer.

What you will do: The Regional Field Service Engineer provides full customer support in all technical-related issues in connection with AC/DC drives, PLC, and HMI’s for a variety of different industries including pulp/paper, cranes, mining, metals, marine, oil/gas, and windpower. The position is also responsible for identifying the needs of the customer and finding appropriate solutions (using either known or new technologies) for customer applications and promoting the technical portfolio to gain specific position and greater market share. The role analyzes/provides alternate solutions to a problem, organizes/manages regular customer visits, calls and presentations with customers, and develops new opportunities in the geographic territory, optimizing existing accounts through value added services, spare parts, upgrades, and warranties. Additionally, the position works closely with in-house engineers on project and functionality of drive systems, while also troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC motor control systems.

What you will need: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology. Current experience in industrial engineering. PLC and HMI’s experience. Prior experience with AC or DC drives a plus. Experience trouble-shooting customer complaints and solving through coordinating efforts between several company departments. Ability for 40-60% travel in the field.
