Field Applications Engineer

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a national supplier of automotive electronics and due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Field Application Engineer.

What you will do: The Field Application Engineer provides pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions. The role provides technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations, assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs, and prepares detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions. The position creates detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions, builds a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client, and provides consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Current experience in field applications. Experience with semiconductors in the automotive industry.  Work experience in the design of lighting, motor control, hall sensors, and regulators.
