Fastener Application Engineer

Southfield, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with growing client that services a myriad of industries with their products.  Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an Applications Engineer.

What you will do: The Application Engineer is the engineering liaison to heavy-duty vehicle account managers, master distributors, and customers. The role reviews customer applications for fit, function and product compatibility (using APQP techniques), coordinates prototypes, performs analysis and tolerance calculations, designs with new elements and components, and collaborates with the technician teams. The position performs, reports, and presents product validation test results, performs value engineering analysis on customer applications, performs dimensional calculations for product performance and compatibility, and assists with analysis and resolution of customer quality issues. Additionally, the  Application Engineer maintains engineering presence at customer sites, determines product performance and dimensional specifications relative to customer applications, and defines product specifications with respect to quality, design and performance.

What you will need: Mechanical Engineering Degree. Current experience in applications engineering. Experience in CAD V5 or NX. Experience with fasteners.
