Toledo, Ohio – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with an industry leader in the consumer products industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Fabrication Engineer.
What you will do: The Fabrication Engineer provides technical expertise and leadership in developing, facilitating, implementing, and troubleshooting process within the Spin Tube Weld/Fabrication processes required for the manufacturing of clothes washers. The role initiates cost, quality and productivity improvements, solves manufacturing process related issues and equipment problems, and assures proper implementation of new processes and equipment. The position provides technical support to maintenance, engineering techs, leaders and production teams, maintains business metrics within the assigned organization, and communicates with and supports up to a 24-hour a day operation. Additionally, the Fabrication Engineer leads projects and special assignments as required.
What you will need: BS in Mechanical engineering, Weld Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline. Current engineering experience. Strong knowledge of lean principles. Experience with CNC programming. Strong mechanical knowledge – experience in laser welding, welding, resistance welding, manual, automatic, robotic and other welding operations. Knowledge of grinders equipment is a plus.
