Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a world leader in the power generation and water/wastewater treatment industries. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Sr. Engineer – Excitation Systems.
What you will do: The Senior Engineer – Excitation Systems prepares generator excitation offers for power projects in response to customer requests for proposals, coordinates site walkdowns to review and develop project scope, and offers documents for technical proposals and installation contractor bidding. The role receives customer inquiries and interprets customer specifications for technical proposals, while also coordinating project, marketing and development teams and collaborating with customers to promote company capabilities during bid review meetings. The position applies expert process and product knowledge when preparing technical proposals, conducts and supports management reviews, and interfaces with other departments and offices in other world areas. Additionally, the Sr. Engineer – Excitation Systems prepares offer documentation, conducts negotiations with customers, and reviews purchase orders.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in power systems engineering. Experience and knowledge of excitation systems control equipment design and electrical power systems for both nuclear and fossil power plants. Ability to travel up to 25%.
