Lake Orion, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international aerospace manufacturing company. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for an Estimator.
What you will do: The Estimator analyzes specifications including tool models, sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing models and historical data, while also preparing estimates and cost reports. The role coordinates with Associate Estimator and/or procurement for requests for quotations from outside suppliers for parts, materials, hardware and processes and inputs hours and notes into Quote Central. The position prepares data for reports, presentations, status updates, and continuous improvement initiatives and performs special projects as needed.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Management. Experience in estimating, engineering, building of aerospace tooling. Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes, along with raw materials and quality policies. Knowledge of cost estimating methods, from detailed bids through parametric modeling used in large-scale quotations.
