Equipment Maintenance Manager

Columbia, South Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with an international manufacturer with a million square foot facility. Due to the current growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Maintenance Engineering Manager for their facility located east  of Columbia.

What you will do:  The Maintenance Engineering Manager is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of plant equipment. This role will manage up to 10 direct reports and 100 indirect reports including maintenance technicians. This is a two shift  (rotating 12) environment , overseeing the scheduling and all maintenance activities and attending daily production meetings. The position coordinates, participates and tracks departmental improvement initiatives including Kaizen, TQM, TPM, 5S and Six Sigma initiatives, participates/prepares for all internal and external QA/customer audits, close all findings in a timely manner, and oversees preventative and predictive maintenance activities for the plant . Additionally, the Maintenance Engineering Manager oversees off­-the-­floor repair activities (repair shop and vendor activities), manages budget of the maintenance department including spare parts, coordinates with engineering in Euorpe, and manages shutdown work schedules.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering OR technology. Current experience in a plant maintenance engineering manager role at a high level. Experience with corporate budgeting. Experience with very large, mission critical equipment. Experience with PLC’s, drives and automation. Strong budget and reporting skills.
