Asheville, North Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with an industry leading packaging equipment client that has been in business for over 100 years. Their equipment is manufactured in several locations throughout the world and installed in facilities in over 50 countries. Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager.
What you will do: The Environmental Health & Safety role will be a leadership role over two facilities with over 1000 employees. The thrust of this position is on the environmental side, assuring regulatory compliance and updated environmental permits are in place. This role will be the face of EH&S for these facilities; highly visible with local regulators and legislators to be on the leading edge of pending regulations and implementing/drive corporate EHS strategy at the site operations level. This position will audit facilities and systems to identify improvement opportunities and provide assistance in reaching goals and objectives while navigating pending and proposed regulations, positioning compliance with the least impact to the facility. This role will also act as a liaison with State, Federal and Local agencies on EHS issues.
What you will need: Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Safety 10 years experience in an EH&S management role with a chemical or petroleum industry. Quantifiable experience setting environmental policy for a
manufacturing multiple manufacturing facilities.
