Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a large manufacturer of automotive components to highlights candidates to fill their newly opened Engineering Manager role.
What you will do: The Engineering Manager provides front-line technical customer interface for entire program, manages the design and processes for a specific project, program or product line, and develops/provides resolution to customer technical issues. The role calls, supports and runs technical design reviews monthly/as necessary, publishes a technical design review report, and facilitates, develops and implements internal and customer best practices in design and engineering. The position leads root cause analysis in the resolution of any test failures, approves the analysis with the appropriate engineering management resources to resolve any particularly difficult problems, and supports DFMEAs prior to release of prototype tooling. Additionally, the Engineering Manager directs/approves analysis (FEA, dimensional, hand calculations, etc.) prior to finalizing concept selection, aids in the management and implementation of career planning and personal development of staff, and ensures annual performance reviews are completed on time.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Strong experience in automotive manufacturing. Experience with full seating systems. Experience in engineering leadership and management.
