Engineering Manager - Automotive

Anderson, South Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery  www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a world-class supplier of products to a myriad of industries within manufacturing. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for an Engineering Manager.

What you will do: The Engineering Manager establishes workflow and assembly methods to maximize efficiency of manufacturing operations employing a standardized work methodology. The role directs the organization in maintaining and designing safety and ergonomics into equipment and manufacturing work centers and cells, manages the allocation of project resources throughout the facilities, and designs/develops manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products. The position serves as a cross-functional member for the APQP process to develop process flow, control plans, and FMEA and applies statistical methods including Design of Experiments to estimate future manufacturing requirements, improvements and potential, while also employing problem-solving techniques, such as 8D and other root cause analysis techniques.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering. Manufacturing engineering and project management leadership experience in a high volume manufacturing environment. Experience with blow molding. Experience and knowledge of Six Sigma, TS16949, KPI driven management operating system. Proven experience managing multiple resources and complex projects. Familiarity with AutoCad, Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and ERP systems. Knowledge of capital planning and prioritization processes.
