Newnan, Georgia – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a world-class Tier-1 automotive supplier. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for an Engineering Manager.
What you will do: The Engineering Manager formulates and guides engineering projects and programs to completion, plans/conducts investigative studies on excessive production and/or manufacturing costs, and implements/guides cost reduction programs. The role improves the manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency, provides estimates of manufacturing costs for new products and tooling, and quotes automotive jobs. The position performs cost analysis on capital projects, leads in developing departmental systems, procedures and policies, and trains development and supervision of staff. Additionally, the Engineering Manager is responsible for improving plant safety performance and key indicators, for monitoring key indicators, developing action plans to correct unfavorable metrics and reporting out on progress during management review.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree *(an engineering degree is NOT required). High volume manufacturing engineering and project management leadership experience. Experience with injection molding and assembly. Experience and knowledge of Six Sigma, TS16949, KPI driven management operating system. Proven experience managing multiple resources and complex projects.
