Birmingham, Alabama – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Engineering Manager, southwest of Birmingham.
What you will do: The The Engineering Manager provides adequate and timely support to developing projects including the Product Engineers and CAD Designers, works closely with sales personnel in support of customer needs, and prepares and supports Technical presentations as required for developing programs. The role prepares a design and engineering plan for each new project, presents it to the Vice President of Engineering, and communicates any changes with those plans. The position prepares yearly budgets, ensures all projects meet both budget and time parameters, ensures monthly engineering reports are completed, and interfaces with manufacturing facilities and external customers on technical issues. Additionally, the Engineering Manager promotes and enforces engineering disciples such as DFMEA, DFM, DFA, DVP&R, and APQP and Design Reviews among the Project and Product Engineers.
What you will need: Engineering Degree. Current Experience with FMEA, DFM, DFA, CAD. Automotive industry experience preferred.
