Energy Storage Systems Project Manager

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with an international supplier of raw materials and electronics to the manufacturing industry. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for an ESS Project Manager.

What you will do: The ESS (Energy Storage Systems) Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the installation and commissioning of grid-scale to residential-scale ESS to customers throughout North America. The role has primary responsibility for ESS projects from receipt of ‘Notice to Proceed’ through installation, commissioning and operational support, while also managing/providing in-country leadership to project teams comprising of project engineers, R&D specialists, installation and commissioning crews, subcontractors and consultants. The role coordinates support of customers’ site permitting applications, is responsible for compliance with all contractual requirements and development of change orders in coordination with personnel in Korea, and ensures development of safety, quality control, testing and system commissioning plans. Additionally, the ESS Project Manager supports all aspects of utility interconnection agreements (usually prepared and negotiated by others) to ensure timely project completion, oversees preparation of manuals, drawings, reports and other customer deliverables, and coordinates maintenance planning and hand off of post-installation support to customer support team.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Current experience in project management. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. Current experience in the automotive manufacturing industry. Experience with energy storage systems.
