Baton Rouge, Louisiana – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a growing electrical engineered to order company with a national footprint. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an Applications/Quotations engineer for an electrical enclosures company. .
What you will do: The Applications Engineer is an individual contributor that manages all existing projects and quotes within the region and is the voice of the customer, advises dealers and customers concerning sales and installation of buildings and new programs, and develops dealer/builder goals/objectives. The role reports and tracks activities utilizing a CRM system, represents the company at trade association meetings to promote building systems, and delivers sales presentations to key clients and specifying engineers. Additionally, the District Sales Manager meets with key clients, maintaining relationships and negotiating/closing sales, analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements, maintains and expands customer base, building and maintaining rapport with key customers. This is a split role with responsibilities in both project management and customer development.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Sales or engineering experience in the Metal Building, Hazardous Materials (Hazloc), Blast Proof Structures, Purge & Pressurization industry solutions. Prior experience marketing industrial products directly to EPC, utilities, industrials or oil and gas segments. Experience in power distribution, generation or storage products (industrial switchgear and controls) or power distribution centers (e-houses, power equipment centers or industrial control buildings). Successful track record in regional market with EPC’s, major Petro chems or large contractors.
