Embedded Software Supervisor

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international tier-one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company. they have opened a position for an Embedded Software Supervisor.

What you will do: The Embedded Software Supervisor manages and coordinates software development activities across multiple application programs, ensures the Software Engineering team delivers key embedded software work products at each milestone, and approves scheduling, monitoring required inputs of all planned software builds. The role supervises team members and provides technical guidance, while also setting team goals and conducting performance reviews. The role develops career plans with team members, support anomaly and debug activities, and develops/maintains processes that are compliant with automotive SPICE and ISO 26262 standards. Additionally, the Embedded Software Supervisor interfaces with suppliers (for software / service items) and interfaces with customers (for requirements/ design reviews).

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science. Embedded software development experience. Experience in prior leadership role (i.e. Supervisor or Manager) within manufacturing, preferably automotive. Expertise in software coding using C language. Experience with 8-bit, 16-bit or 32-bit microcontrollers and common peripherals. Experience with standard software development environments (IDE). Experience with software configuration management systems (i.e. Synergy). Familiarity with Vector based analysis and development tools. Familiarity with AutoSAR. Familiarity with MISRA standards and verification tools. Familiarity with maturity models such as SPICE and/or CMMI. Familiarity with the AGILE development methodology. Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety concepts and its impact on software development. Familiarity with embedded hardware design and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink.
