Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a world leader in the tier one automotive space. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an Embedded Software Manager.
What you will do: The Embedded Software Manager leads the software engineering interface with the customers, leads software engineering activities from pursuit of new business, through award and design development, to launch, and analyzes/gathers electrical and software requirements related to the engine control unit (ECU) system. The role creates high levels plans for the development of ECU Subsystem, software and vehicle development, identifies/manages program risks, and leads/manages change management for the ECU subsystem by participating in a global change review board. The position, additionally, coordinates development between customer, vehicle development and software teams, release ECU subsystem to the customer during development, and supports the plant on ECU subsystem industrialization (processes, training, re-flashing).
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science. Current experience in a software programming role within manufacturing. Experience in a management position. Experience in the automotive industry. Knowledge of ECU subsystems.
