Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a company charged with managing the vehicle software of the automotive industry. Due to their recent growth, they have opened a position for an Embedded Software Engineer.
What you will do: The Embedded Software Engineer is responsible for software design, coding, unit test creation using C/C++, and/or C#/.NET.* programming languages, while also developing scripts and performing software coding using C/C++, and C#/.NET.* The role analyzes/interprets specification and extract requirements, researches/designs new software programs, and performs testing on new programs, resolving any issues. The position also modifies existing software programs, creates technical specifications and test plans, and writes operational procedure documentation with technical authors. Further responsibilities of the Embedded Software Engineer include correcting software defects, traveling to customer sites and accommodating customer concerns and emergencies.
What you will need: Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent from a four-year college or university. Knowledge of the following: C/C++ and C#/.NET(or similar object orientated programming language(s)); Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Office, RTOS platforms such as QNX or Linux; Windows Device Driver development; Microcontroller and Processor Architectures and embedded software; unit, functional and regression testing methods.
