Embedded Software Engineer – ADAS

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com/jobs     is working a tier one supplier of automotive systems and due to the company’s recent growth, they have opened a position for an Embedded Software Engineer – ADAS.

What you will do: The Embedded Software Engineer – ADAS designs/develops compliant real-time embedded software for ADAS, participates in design and code reviews, and assists in hardware debugging and board bring up. The role assists in developing hardware/software test plans, establishes system and software architecture for ADAS system, and works with algorithm suppliers to implement ADAS algorithms. The position determinse software requirements, current and future, for ADAS technologies, participates in strategic roadmap development for the group, and develops/documents functional and diagnostic requirements. Additionally, the Embedded Software Engineer – ADAS supports the development of test instrumentation, investigates/evaluates new technology, and assists in selecting software development tools.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science. Experience in Firmware/Software programming in embedded Linux. Expert in C language programing. Working experience of Linux kernel and device-driver development (BSP development) . Knowledge of hardware and low-level software development SPI, USB etc. Experience in Boot loader (U Boot). Experience in board bring up and debugging new hardware. Good understanding of ARM processor and experience in product development with SOC. Strong “hands-on” electrical and software testing experience. Working knowledge of MISRA / SPICE and ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements. Understanding of configuration management tools.
