Embedded Hardware Engineer

Atlanta, Georgia – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a growing, multi-billion dollar manufacturing client. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an Embedded Hardware Engineer in Decatur.

What you will do: The Embedded Hardware Engineer develops analog and digital hardware designs consisting of LED light engines, LED power supply circuits (drivers), sensors, and control/communication interfaces. The role documents schematics using Altium Designer CAD, validates internally and externally through working prototypes, and conducts electronic circuit simulation and analysis. The position maintains up to date knowledge of version control software and other PLM systems, creates product hardware design documentation (architecture, state diagram, module specifications, schematics, BOM), and collaborates with test equipment and manufacturing engineers to define and implement manufacturing test procedures and test equipment. Additionally, the Embedded Hardware Engineer creates robust documentation to meet functional, design, and test requirements.

What you will need: Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering. Current experience in hardware design. Practical experience with communication and networking protocols (I2C, RS-232, RS-485, RJ-45, etc.). Knowledge of 8 bit microcontroller systems. General illumination LED design experience. Experience writing manufacturing test specifications. Experience developing manufacturing test equipment. Knowledge of advanced wireless communication protocols (802.11, IR, ZigBee, Bluetooth).
