Embedded Controls Engineer

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com    is working with an international supplier of raw materials and electronics to the manufacturing industry. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Embedded Controls Engineer – Battery Management Systems.

What you will do: The Embedded Controls Engineer – Battery Management Systems defines and leads execution of best practice embedded software design, verification and analysis during system development or redeployment. The role defines high level direction for the development of embedded software for production level automotive battery management systems, while also provides high level definitions of solutions to address customer requirements. The position assists team members in getting clarification of requirements from customer, leads quality, reliability and robustness efforts (DFMEA, Fault Tree analysis, CARs etc), provides planning information to the hardware/software project manager, and supports work plan discussions with the customer. Additionally, the Embedded Controls Engineer – Battery Management Systems supports discussion of technical issues with customer, defines the documentation that must be created, and ensures that reviews are conducted on the documentation.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Mid-range experience in automotive embedded systems development (hardware or software or both). Project management experience. Experience with failure mode analysis. Knowledge of systems engineering. ISO26262 training and experience desired.
