Columbus, Ohio – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a growing, multi-billion dollar manufacturing client. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an Electronics Design Engineer.
What you will do: The Electronics Design Engineer participates in product definition, specification and requirements analysis working with cross functional stakeholders, leads electronic development projects, and assists with evaluating existing and emerging technologies to identify solutions, and coordinates with sourcing and manufacturing on the implementation of designs into production. The role develops procedures/guidelines for product validation and engineering specifications for manufacturing end-of-line testing, integrates electronic devices into total system architectures (driver, module, peripherals) during luminaire product development cycle, and performs system integration and validation testing activities, including verification of interoperability within overall solution. The position provides tech support, product management, and manufacturing teams with engineering design guidance, develops, grows, and sustains key technical partnerships, and participates in developing solid design processes, including the necessary engineering quality and reliability systems to ensure design for reliability.
What you will need: BS in Engineering. Experience in electronic design (analog, digital, power supply circuits) and validation. Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, DVM, power analyzer, etc.). Proficiency in using EDA (Electronic Design Automation) tools for schematic and PCB design. Experience with communication and networking protocols (I2C, SPI, RS-485, Ethernet, LAN/PAN, DALI, etc.). Experience in embedded design and firmware coding. Solid working knowledge of current electrical codes and standards. Design experience with lighting grade LED’s.
