Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a leading supplier of electronic components to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created Customer Quality Engineer.
What you will do: The Customer Quality Engineer works closely with customers, internal support staff and plant personnel to monitor and address quality issues (QN’s) and concerns and close out concerns with proper problem solving methods. The role creates QN’s as needed and coordinates sorting when required by getting appropriate authorization, ensuring proper work instructions exist and tracking results and costs and ensuring sorts are ended as soon as possible. The position coordinates routing customer quality issues to the appropriate personnel at manufacturing plants on timely basis, follows up on quality issue internal responses and assesses responses for their adequacy to ensure both timely and proper responses are provided to the customer, while also monitoring assigned customer scorecards, websites, and other communications to ensure expectations. Additionally, the Customer Quality Engineer attends meetings with the customer departments, reports on status of key customer deliverables to management, and provide support and expertise in the development of FMEA’s, control plans, and qualification plans.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Current experience as a quality engineer. Experience with technical troubleshooting. Experience in ISO and TS 16949 quality system requirements. Strong working knowledge of: 8D, 5Y, FMEA’s, Process Flow Diagrams, SPC, Control Plans, PPAP and AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group).
