Electromechanical Validation Engineer

Auburn Hills, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a global, electronics company to identify a Validation Engineer for a newly created role.

What you will do: The Validation Engineer is responsible for supporting team efforts to maintain and improve test system designs, respective processes, and methods. The role performs validation engineering function including designing and oversight of tests, applies reliability tools to create test plans that will ensure product robustness, and develops DVP&R with company and customer engineering, executing according to program timing requirements. The position assists test development engineers and lab personnel to identify equipment, software, and all fixturing required for program timing, develops written test specifications and procedures, and validates the test procedure before the procedure is used to test the product. Additionally, the Validation Engineer supports multiple test projects, supports the development of cost, timing, and schedule for respective group projects, and supports the development of production test and calibration systems.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Current experience in validation engineer. Electromechanical design experience. Experience with automotive product development process. Familiarity with statistical methods for data analysis. Experience with DFMEA and DVP&R tools. Test equipment support and PM development experience. Test equipment calibration procedure and system development experience. Experience working with project timelines, activity tracking, and activity status. Lab instrument setup and operation experience a plus.
