Electrician

Tupelo, Mississippi  – Movement Search & Delivery   is working with a construction supply company that services both residential and commercial markets based out of a mill built in 1995. Currently, the mill produces high quality oriented strand board (OSB) 24 hours a day 7 days a week; the mill is designed to annually produce 450 thousand board feet (on a 3/8ths basis). Guntown’s 2014 annual revenue was $79 million and due to this growth, the company has opened a position for a Plant Electrician.

What you will do: The Electrician is responsible for the inspection, installation, repair, adjustment, construction, modification, calibration, programming and wiring of electrical and electronic apparatus, devices, and circuits of any voltages in the mill or assigned area. The role reads/interprets drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications, installs, examines, replaces or repairs electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components, and tests electrical and electronic equipment and components. The position troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices and conducts preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.

What you will need: Electrical Technician or Technologist diploma or Certified Industrial Electrician. Current experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Experience inspecting, installing, and troubleshooting electrical equipment. Extensive knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC5 and ControlLogix, Ethernet Connect Control Systems, and Allen Bradley AC Drives.
