Electrical Test Development Engineer

Auburn Hills, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a global, electronics company to identify a Test Development Engineer for a newly created role.

What you will do: The Test Development Engineer identifies customer needs, develops test system designs to meet all applicable requirements, and identifies appropriate test and data acquisition technology. The role organizes functional system development (including design, building, and testing) to verify, and release test system for DV and PV use, develops NI LabVIEW graphical programming based software for the testing of electronic systems, and selects appropriate test system controls to meet design requirements. The position creates/maintains engineering documentation such as bills of material, test process flow, specifications, and other types of engineering documentation, identifies/resolves issues for test system development including; design, procurement, build, test, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices, and reviews changes to detailed drawing sets and specifications from system design concept stage through release. Additionally, the Test Development Engineer performs test system failure analysis on new and existing test equipment and reports results.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Current experience in development testing. Experience in high volume manufacturing. Electromechanical design experience. Test system design experience. Experience with NI LabView. Knowledge of communication interfaces such as CAN, LIN, SENT, PSI5.
