Electrical Technician - Production Controls

Plant City, Florida – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com     is working with a large power integration company and due to their recent growth, they have opened a position for a Electrical Technician – Production Controls.

What you will do: The Electrical Technician – Production Controls is responsible for performing commissioning and testing activities in the field. The role develops the skills to provide technical capabilities for installing, adjusting, and troubleshooting relays, tests current/voltage, directional, distance, impedance, sync check, loss of field, reverse power, and multifunction relays, and reads associated schematics, internal, and external of the relay. The position assists in writing functional test plans and participates in a training and development program to achieve a comprehensive knowledge of electrical fundamentals, electrical transmission and distribution equipment and its operation, and a high degree of skill in routine P&C functions, while also collecting field data and performing arc flash studies, coordination studies and short circuit analysis. Additionally, the Electrical Technician – Production Controls provides technical insight with regard to substation systems and electrical power systems.

What you will need: Electronic Engineering Technology certificate. NETA or NICET certification preferred. Experience in substations. Experience in relay testing. Hands-on experience with pertinent test equipment.
