Electrical Technician - Motors/Drives

Houston, Texas – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com     is working with a 100 year old world leader distributed control systems.  Due to their continued growth and increase in market share, they have a newly created position for an Electrical Technician.

What you will do: The Electrical Technician develops preventive and predictive maintenance, performs preventive, predictive maintenance and total productive maintenance in accordance with standardized procedures, and interacts with operators, supervisors, co-workers in a team oriented fashion towards a common goal. The position adjusts to changing needs of a fast paced manufacturing environment, troubleshoots faults and breakdowns using equipment, and keeps records of faults by date, machine, alarm number in computer data base. Additionally, the Electrical Technician navigates in the machine system to change programs, parameters, registers, etc, reviews work orders and prioritizes them for timely completion.

What you need: Associate’s degree. Programming ability for PLC’s, drives, and operator interface. Knowledge of key types of machinery equipment & plant infrastructure systems (e.g. – machines & equipment, electrical, compressed air). Knowledge in applicable OSHA, EPA, NFPA 70E regulations. Experience with PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and servo drives and motors. Knowledge of hydraulics, gearboxes, bearings, lubrication systems, and compressors.
